Here’s a quick video to describe how to connect master transpose to envelope 2.
-
Yeah it records all audio coming from the Deluge. Great sound design tool as well!
-
Easiest is to resample the arrangement. In arrangement view, press and hold record then press play. Press record again after the arrangement is finished playing. Now the latest file in the RESAMPLE folder will be a wave file of your song.

Are there other USB MIDI controllers you can test with the cable and adapter you’re using? That could be the issue. That or the Deluge doesn’t recognize that controller. First test connections with another controller. If that’s not the issue try…

I once bought a bad USB adapter. Have you tried using other USB MIDI with another controller to make sure the adapter is working?
-
On startup, no. There’s no message at startup. After “detaching” if you reconnect it should say “MIDI”. Does it say MIDI if you reconnect or no?
-
Unfortunately it’s not currently possible to map the affect entire parameters via MIDI. Those are only accessible from the deluge knobs in song or clip view. You can achieve the same effect by mapping each of the individual rows of a kit to a sing…

The play command seems to have a problem with responding correctly on this firmware. Have you tried using the footswitch for any other commands? Or tried using a previous firmware?
-
Have you made sure the key studio is on and connected and the power supply is connected to deluge before turning on the deluge? It needs to recognize the key studio on startup to enter host mode.
-
When you press it does it seem to physically press in the same way as the other? If so, that sounds like a faulty encoder. You should get in touch with Synthstrom and they should get you taken care of, especially if still under warranty.

You can mute the audio track in the arranger by pressing the mute/launch button.
-
If the mute/launch pads are flashing after you press them it means it’s waiting until the loop finishes to mute. You can use shift + mute/launch to mute it instantly.
-
@rohan I actually only tested this using my Launchpad X. Trying again, I just found that every several LP presses the play button will illuminate green for just a split second. But won’t actually get it playing.
-
@Zwogli First thing, if you’re using midi over USB you need to have the Deluge plugged into mains power. Additionally, the signal you need to send for midi commands must be midi notes. CC or other signals will not work for triggering those commands.
-
I believe you’re referring to arranger mode. Song mode is the mode with loops. In arranger mode, when you drop a clip by pressing a blank space it places the last color used or touched in the arranger (if available on that track). So if you create …

There’s not a way to rename as you describe. You just have to save with a new name and delete the old one. You can indeed do this on the hardware. To delete, press load, navigate to the old copy, then hold shift and press save/delete.
-
Just tried on my end. I also cannot get the play command to work. Other commands seem to work fine but not play. Seems like a bug. @rohan can you confirm?
-
Confirmed I can reproduce as well 👍🏼

Songs can now be in folders. If you select a folder that contains no songs, you’ll just see those minus signs. It may be a folder of samples from a collect all save.

The custom 1 is more of a course tuning knob. Best for drum sounds that don’t need to be in tune. Custom 1 is also separate from other tuning parameters. You can use master transpose shortcut for semitones, or the oscillator transpose allows adjus…

Glad to hear you got it sorted! 👍🏼

@esparks said: It might be the Custom 1 knob pitch parameter, it's assigned by default on some sounds (kit sounds usually) and you might have bumped it or something. It's assigned by "learning" the master transpose of a sound, but it's actually a…

That sweep can be done with a pitch envelope. Use the master transpose shortcut, then the envelope 2 shortcut, and set the range of the effect. Then can set the speed/shape by adjusting env2 attack and decay. To get a chiptune flavor, use a squ…

You need to hold the audition pad and turn the lower gold knob to change the gate number.
-
Can you further describe your process for making the recording? What buttons did you press to record? And what kind of connections do you have? Is a mixer involved?
