How can I use gate 4 in a kit row?

Hi,
I am trying to use the gate 4 in a Kit. Here are the steps I follow:
1. create a new kit
2. press the audition pad of the first row and the CV button: Deluge shows GAT 3
3. press and turn the SELECT knob: only shows GAT3, U1 (kit name) or NONE
I have my GATE 3 set to RUN to control a module so I need it, hence why I'm trying to use GATE4 which I've set to VTRIG as using the CLOCK option doesn't seem to work since the Deluge is midi synced via USB.
Why can't I see the GAT4 in the options? Am I doing something wrong?

You need to hold the audition pad and turn the lower gold knob to change the gate number.
