The names of patches and their corresponding numbers are listed in the manual. You can rename the presets on your computer. Or right from the Deluge, you can save each preset with the name using the QWERTY saving function and then delete the numbe…

I do! If you check out my YouTube channel, you’ll see I have a lot of tunes that feature guitar, bass guitar, and other external gear that I loop in. https://youtube.com/channel/UCnR9j0p9ASp2pR6usJjJ3Rg Let me know if you have any questions abo…

If it’s only a one bar sample it’ll have to stretch to fill two bars. If you just want the one bar sample to play for two bars before looping you can resample it for two bars and use the resulting sample instead. Though I’m not sure why that’s p…

All tracks will have their sound affected by the affect entire song parameters. But you could copy the automation from the filter knob affecting the entire song and then paste it onto the filters of the tracks you want it on and delete it from the…

Yeah I haven’t seen anything like that before. I would try re-downloading and installing firmware if you haven’t yet. If that doesn’t work you’ll have to get in touch with Ian.
-
The video isn’t opening for some reason. If you’ve already re-downloaded and installed firmware than I’d get in touch with @Ian_Jorgensen Sounds more likely to be a hardware issue if firmware has been installed successfully.
-
That won’t change CCs like you’re asking but it is a cool trick!
-
My pleasure. Good luck!
-
Yes, that does work! :-)
-
Does the hum still happen if you unplug the USB from the Deluge?
-
Not currently possible, sorry.
-
If you’re using the CLK IN input or the gate output on the Deluge for clocking, check the settings menu under TCLOck > IN/OUT > PPQN. Those may need adjusting depending on the other gear.
-
Are you powering the Deluge by DC PSU or by USB?
-
Sorry I mean the Deluge synth engine doesn’t respond to sustain. Didn’t realize you were using an external synth
-
Not sure which device you’re sending sustain to, but the Deluge doesn’t currently respond to sustain pedal messages. So the MPC1000 won’t help the sustain issue if it’s the Deluge you’re sending it to.
-
No problem! 👍🏼

Go to track A and pull up the master volume shortcut. Then press shift + learn/input. This will unlearn the midi controller from track A volume.
-
I think this function works great with the Deluge. I do this all the time! Latency is virtually nonexistent. Just set up a midi clip to sequence the external synth. Then an audio clip to record it. Easy! :-)
-
Good bad or otherwise, I think sometimes it’s necessary to adjust one’s workflow and/or performance to fit limitations of the gear they have. That or buy more gear ;-) haha
-
As long as you set up before your performance, all you would have to do is change midi channels on your keyboard. This is arguably quicker than finding and entering the desired clip. I’m sorry it’s not what you’re hoping for. But that’s how it wor…

Each new track needs to be learned to a midi controller in order to be played by it. The best way to switch between is to use a different channel for each track. This will separate so each clip can be recorded individually.
-
Glad to help! Cheers!
-
Cool. That works!
-
Not currently possible, sorry.

Come to think of it, you can also use a zoom level of 128th in song mode and it’ll also close loops at smaller intervals.
-
The looper in song mode does try to close loops at the nearest measure or multiple of the current zoom level. But you can edit the length of the clips to be any length, down to your current display resolution (128th notes by default) You can also…
-
Two things you can check: * Is the UMI3 set to send note data? The looping command and other commands need to be mapped to notes from a controller (done so in the settings “CMD” menu), not CCs or anything else. * The Deluge needs to be power…

Sure, no problem! Let me know if there’s any other questions. :-)

You can delete an audio clip from song view by holding the clip row and pressing save/delete. You can change the audio clip to a different type from song view by holding the clip row and pressing the desired clip type (synth, for example) To cha…

Instead of using MIDI thru, learn a MIDI controller to the audition pads of the MIDI clip that’s set to the channel of the external synth. Then MIDI cc changes will be recorded with the clip, regardless of gold knob settings. If a gold knob is se…
