I love this idea. I downloaded the sample and loaded it into the Deluge to slice, etc. but got distracted. Fingers crossed.

@AlextheKidd can you link to the specific video you watched? Ron is well-versed in the workflow, but it sounds like you may be missing a step (as per @reza's additional instructions above).

I love the Microfreak and use it a lot with my Deluge, as I find it to be a very inspiring sound engine with an intuitive menu. That said, it is also quite unique given it's keybed, etc. so you'd probably want to try one out first to be sure.

This is out on all the usual streaming services now, so check it out if you're so inclined. Some kind words so far and a few people asking about the Deluge. https://distrokid.com/hyperfollow/baymud/escarpments

@jensg said: Also, why is the stutter clicking so much? A lot of other stutter fx are smooth, this one is nasty and harsh. Can we remedy this in any way? I haven't noticed clicking in the stutter. Maybe specific to the sounds being used?

@Alder_Dice said: Thanks for sharing this @Bay_Mud - I enjoyed it a lot. The disco lights deserve a special mention! Keep it messy. Thanks! Yeah, the lights are fun. As for the mess, not sure I'll ever be able to defeat that. Ha

@tamlyn said: Thanks for this. I enjoyed the explanations of what's doing what. Good luck with the album. Thanks! Things are coming along well, but still harrowing staring down the deadline. Deluge is key.

Nice job! A little DIY goes a long way.

Pretty sure the main bits of the 4.0 firmware had already been added in advance to the 3.0 face plate in anticipation (Wavetable, for example). Haven't heard anything of a new face plate for this version, specifically.

I think what you might be looking for is "chromatic" sample (ie, playing a sample chromatically over all notes)?
-
Glad you are well! If the Deluge never got another firmware update I'd still be more than happy with it, but will gladly help test any new ones that come along when the time comes.

I believe there are 12 section colours available (as per the manual), but as mentioned above, a few of them are pretty similar in colour. If you're only seeing 6 is it possible the song you're working only has 6 sections in use (more colours beco…

Are you sure you're pasting at the same position on the scale and the same zoom level? The Deluge will let you paste it anywhere (different zoom levels or different scale position), which can be great for making quick variations. If you want it i…

You can just erase the _2 when saving and it will confirm that you want to over-write the project.

@tak said: Thanks Bay & Ant. Love the Ron bootcamp videos - haven't gotten to the Glitch one yet. That is helpful information as far as how to choose different kit sounds to interact with the sidechain Bay - however, I am trying to fig…

@tak said: Anyone know of a good tutorial for this? This video, the official Synthstrom video and others let you hear what happens when combining with something other than a kick, and are enlightening with the possibilities, but don't really expl…

Managed to catch the 2nd episode after the fact---some great tips there. Thanks!

@Affectionate_Bee_781 said: Sidechain to arp rate is one of my favorites! Thanks for sharing this Thanks! Yeah it's a great trick. I also forgot until someone asked that you can sidechain other drums too. Would be fun to mess with that.
