good input to try with a USB hub. surely cheaper. havent tried if USB host mode works well with USB hubs. you probably need a powered USB hub for USB powered devices like the Akai MPX8 .

i like the idea, can save crucial space. thought about making the 4 mode switches as on/off toggles, while only KIT and SYNTH are mutually exclusive.

good point. fm engine improvements would fit well. i tend to miss dedicated hardware when using the subtractive engine, still for a sampler subtractive is very well done. for fm sounds i dont miss hardware, fm is a sweet spot to make sweeter 😋

a workaround is to prepare sub songs. apply fx and to reset, load an appropriate sub song.
