good question! especially if considered preset names will likely stay once used in a song. since presets are stored per song. if a preset is later renamed (save as new) the name will still stay as it was in old songs.

yeah that sounds like corrupt xml files. "only rectangles displaying in one line." you are opening the xml file in a text editor (like Notepad)? do not open it with Word or something similar.

no looping in preview mode is normal behavior. you might need to initialize the synth preset with SHIFT+synth? if SHIFT+synth, LOAD a single cycle wav and does not loop, i'd surely is a bug in 3.0. can try to reproduce later.

i like this idea, render arpeggio to midi is something i use a lot in DAWs made a sketch sometime ago with the idea keyboard view would offer some global midi effects and act like an external midi arpeggiator.
