You can sequence step automation tho. Simply hold a note and turn the gold knob to trigger a cc value at only that event
-
Maybe step automation of CC would get what you’re after? Happy to help!
-
In terms of sidechain? No, Sidechain is only applied to the synth/sampling engine. You can automate MIDI CC using the gold knobs
-
You can only send sidechain trigger from kit rows, so a silent kit/row is your best bet. You cannot apply the sidechain effect to a MIDI channel. But you can feed the audio from your external synth back into the Deluge on an audio track and sidec…

@synchrosystem all good. At least you were originally asking about potential hacks as well. I’ll just say, the extent of feature updates since I bought my Deluge in 2018 is huge. There’s very little that I’d imagine is off the table in terms of p…

@TOTAL said: The research continues. It turns out that pressing record + play during resampling stops recording not at bar end but at the longest playing phrase end. This is useful in itself but outside contexts when this is what you are a…

The Deluge keyboard layout is fixed. The lights adapt to the current scale but the note relationship between columns and rows cannot currently be changed.

@jensg said: Oh and the link you gave with Ian’s post: the 12 months of “archiving feature requests” are over, since 6 months :-) it’s literally the first talking point. Did you stop reading after that? Ian said there was 1300 request…

@Lodro said: So just to be clear, you can take a complete song and get it into your DAW -- it's just that people don't like the workflow of having to do it via SD card rather than direct USB? Because really this is fine with me, I don't mind wait…

Let’s say I have a 4 min song (longer than mine usually are) with 15 different tracks/instruments. That’ll take about an hour to resample each track or record them each straight to my DAW. Yeah, that’s a good chunk of time. But also not a highly…

Gate 4 sends clock. You need to go into settings > GATE > out 4, and set it to clock. Deluge clock in has a separate input.

I prefer to make kits and synth patches right on the deluge. I haven't tried the kitmaker or preset maker. You cannot move samples once they are used in presets or songs because those presets/songs will no longer work if you do. So you should org…

Happy to help! 👍🏼

There isn’t a way to loop only a portion of a clip. You can start playback from any point in a clip currently in view by holding the horizontal knob while pressing play. You could also duplicate the clip, press and hold the vertical knob while…

You should make Synthstrom aware of the issue if you haven’t already by sending an email. Cleaning can help conductivity in some case but it depends on condition of the contacts in those pads. Best bet would be replacement.

If you have hardware issues you should email ian@synthstrom.com and/or fill out this form: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeTP-eDaaDOmU4-WRXcVhQIoIBd8bkLC_Up4_Lt1RbYZXA-xQ/viewform

No problem! 👍🏼

Best way I think: Place the loop into the arranger and extend the clip, still in arranger view, by holding the clip and selecting how long in the arrangement you want the crescendo to last. Then press shift + the extended clip to turn it white. Thi…

Indeed it would be. No problem 👍🏼

There is no way to have all in stereo while the insert is being used or a feedback loop will be created. You could however record the effect in stereo if you set up the audio track to be stereo but not monitored. You could then set up a separate au…

If you’re sending out the R channel you’ll need to bring it back in on the L channel, especially if you have monitoring on. You can also avoid summing to mono on L channel as long as you have something plugged into the R output or if headphones ar…

The connections you’re describing are causing a feedback loop. To avoid this and separate the processed signal from the output, you’ll have to take advantage of the two inputs and outputs. Hard pan everything to one side and the signal you want to p…
