Not exactly, but the copy function (learn + horizontal knob press) copies only the section of the clip currently in view. It does include all rows/notes above and below too.

There’s not a way to cut time from the beginning of a clip. But you can move all notes of a clip in either direction by pressing the vertical knob and turning the horizontal knob. So in a way this does change the starting point of the sequence.

I think what would cause the error would be missing or moved samples that the kits are pointing to, not the kits themselves. Maybe take a look in the DRUMS folder.
