Why is no sound coming from the internal speaker?

Last time I played with my precious, sound was coming from the internal speaker. Now it comes through my headphones (have not tried output L/MONO R yet).
Any ideas what's happening?

My friend Eros showed me how to record a sample from the internal mic a few weeks ago. Have I inadvertently left something set up so it does not playback sound through the speaker?
The internal speaker doesn’t sound if the headphone jack or other outputs are connected. Is that what you’re noticing or is it not working, even with nothing connected?
Nothing connected- no sound from speaker
all of the sudden it is working. weird. maybe power was too low? thanks for the help
