  • @cyril said: The perfection would be to be able to control progression of the song like on a DJcontroller/software. Is possible? Is it madness? Is there any crazy person that could imagine how to do that? As insane as that would be...I'm …
  • @reza said: for the vibrato switch on the SHS-10, the best way to troubleshoot this issue is to figure out for sure what parameter it is affecting. ideally you could find a program that displays incoming midi of a device plugged into your compute…
  • @reza said: my mistake, yes i meant to say 3.5mb! I took the plunge and updated to the nightly build. I can now lay out a whole folder of samples and play them without scrolling. That makes me excited to actually use the Deluge for the fi…
  • @reza said: You can update to new community firmware but with the risk that if the .bin file happens to be 0bytes or over 3.5kb you could cause a nasty issue with your Deluge that would involve sending it to NZ to be fixed. When you download the …
  • @reza said: this firmware is available for testing now if you are willing to. more information can be found here: https://github.com/SynthstromAudible/DelugeFirmware/wiki#downloading-community-firmware please back up your SD card and doubl…
  • @reza said: this is in fact possible now. i don't think there's support for recording in new rows nor rearranging the pad grids in drum view though. Oh well, as long as I can play 128 samples on the grid, that's a huge improvement. If it …
  • @reza said: this has actually been implemented! goes from 1x1 to 8x8, i believe via shift+<> adjusted size. currently 1x1 is velocity 127, but i think it would make sense to have it set to whatever your default midi velocity is set to in th…
  • @jensg said: While I agree that every wish might be niche, the function is a glaring omission nonetheless. The keyboard is already there, sampling works great. So I also don’t get it why such a thing is just not touched upon. It would open…
  • @LegsMechanical said: I once worked at a craft bar where we made homemade “aromatic ginger tonic” to mix cocktails with. Some dude ordered one, drank half of it, and wanted his money back bc it wasn’t sweet like ginger ale. Our ginger tonic was …
  • @volsteh said: At least you can resell it for basically the same price... You may look into akai mpc or force... Those are not lightweight. I have an MPC Live. It's too heavy to carry around. And I don't like how stiff the pads are. Feels…
  • @volsteh said: No way to know until they tease the features. Id say due to the frustration it brigs you, you better look for some other gear, since they never disclose update plans. That's the thing, though. Other gear. How much other gea…
  • @volsteh said: Actually, they said the next update was in the works alongside the 4.0 and come out soon™ after... And once again, I am back on the hopium. Could 4.1 finally make kits usable?
  • @johnfranklin said: I'm assuming this isn't at all the answer you want, but would using something like an old launchpad as a controller make the deluge more appealing to you? Not for portability, no (if I can't put it in my lap and play i…
  • @djAzid said: The manual says: "KEYBOARD VIEW Enables playing melodic scales with the synth or for MIDI / CV." The keyboard mode isn't for kits. That's the problem. I don't understand why kits don't also have a keyboard mode. It's an o…
  • @djAzid said: Scrolling through multiple pages up/down/left/right is what you do on the deluge. Maybe you don't like how this works. Is there another device which can actually do this w/o scrolling ? If you're on a synth patch on the Delu…
  • @djAzid said: Have you even tried it ? You can make slices upto 256 if you like.... And play 128 of them without scrolling?
  • @djAzid said: Well, sampling and slicing is actually quite simple, you just have to know how to use it. I didn't say it wasn't simple. I said there are seemingly arbitrary limitations. Even the video you embedded only shows the guy slicin…
  • @pogodance said: I think it's raaather a little bit over the top but It probably is. But I've made maybe four patterns in three years. The idea of using the Deluge just never hits me, because the moment I start using it, I run into this s…
  • I'd like to add to this, simultaneous 16th and 8th note swing, separately adjustable. I've managed to get some cool wonky rhythms out of that in Jeskola Buzz (using the groove module) and you don't see that a lot.
  • Still hoping larger kits with sample-to-pad might happen some day.
