  • Delugeator 2.0 sneeek peeek

    Hello!

    Been kinda busy with life and some music also had to be made but Delugeator development is still going forward with some new stuff.

    But instead of making something sensible (like a Mac version, somehow), I chose to do some fun stuff. Like this one. It's a small drum machine to actually test the kit sounds together before any imports and ooo boy, after some extensive drumkit creation sessions I can tell you it's a handy tool. (Actually very useful outside Deluge-universe too, used it to create some sample kits for my TR-8S).

    Like the new firmware update, it's coming when it is done. :)

  • DELUGEATOR 1.0 - a Win 10 kit editor for Deluge released.

    Making an own thread here to celebrate the actual release:

  • Delugeator and firmware 4.0

    Hello!

    A small update regarding Delugeator and 4.0 firmware update: All kits created with current Delugeator version should work with FW 4.0 version. But if you import in a kit made in Deluge with the new firmware and then save it and reupload it to Deluge there might be some sound weirdness due to new default modulation patchcable settings in xml that get saved a little...wrong.

    Working on Delugeator 1.5 that'll fix these problems and support 4.0 (including the new folder structure). Should be finished in a couple of days and released then I will continue with new stuff (including the test drum machine).

  • The relation between single kits and kits in song files

    Additional note here: but you can actually save the song kit out of the song back to an 'independent' kit by Save + Kit in the clip view. Probably also a synth.

  • SPD- SX and using it with Deluge

    @Icoustik said:
    There are no real velocity layers on the Delly, but there's a way: if you load a lower velocity sample to OSC1, and a higher velocity sample to OSC2, and then patch OSC1 volume to Velocity mod source @ negative 25-50, and OSC2 volume to Velocity @ +25-50. This will make lower velocity playing trigger more of the OSC1 sample, and higher velocity will trigger more of the OSC2 sample.

    Hmm yeah, nice idea! I have a Roland Handsonic so will try this out with that.

    Can I add a suggestion which would be incredible if you implemented it: as well as creating a new kit sound by loading a sample file, also have the ability to load Synth patches into a kit.

    Obviously you won't be able to preview the sounds in the editor but I'm working on my own tool to simply do that one function (and having to learn Python GUI programming at the same time!) but you already have the tool and the structure in place to make this easy addition. It is totally possible to do, my old command-line version of my tool is here:

    Yeah, synths are definately coming in a future release, shouldn't be too hard to implement, have been looking into that. And also multisample synths. But now trying to get the just-kit-with-samples -version out first. :)
