@martyncottey yeah, i can see having your hands tied up for a song change over would be tough. More sections would work best or even a simple pattern chaining feature would be decent. iv had old and new (and probably forgetting some) : roland (mc30…

Not dismissing your suggestion by any means @martyncottey, but why not just save the song at 12 sections into a sub slot and carry on with the song that way? Its only an extra couple button presses to load a new song in sync and there you have a who…

Thanks

Great. i already had the Flashair tool 4 downloaded, so i dont know if that matter, but i just went into my windows network places and created a new workgroup with the address http://flashair/ and now i can assess the card directly from windows expl…

Id say what your after will be doable regarless of the process involved. but im not at expert level with the deluge by any means. Have a good search thru the suggestions section on the forum. People are quick to say what they would like to see featu…

Yea it does that. Velocity pitch and aftertouch are usually ready to go on " synth" tracks. Im guessing mod is also, i havnt used mod i dont think.... On " midi" type tracks you need to midi learn how you want it setup when you create it, regarding …

I was referring to not having to go in and set loop on everytime i wanted to audition a single cycle wav sound.

Yes, on preview its just a snip. Sample load while your browsing without having to downpress first to select would be nice and has been requested. I dont know if that feature would involve loading the whole sd card into RAM though? Might be why its…

Yes! @amiga909 being able to just browse thru single cycle waves instantly, and have them playable on load is just great really.

Thanks for the tip @MatthewGeorge about mapping to a gold knob. Ive found that the attack and release are fairly primitive on the deluge. Though isnt attack and release a default mapping on non fm synths?
-
Clone makes a second, new track thats identical. the only difference is, its now in a new section and when its triggered to play, it stops playback on its original track. When you want to duplicate the notes of a track. you do as @Icoustik has sa…

Glad you got it sorted out, @Beam.

Have you tried experimenting with step automating the volume or frequency? You can set volume drops per step and then the volume will ramp back up to the next step you set. Also maping volume or frequency to an lfo can get you some basic rythmic dro…

It hasn't bothered me since Ive not needed more than 6 sections so far, and more often use the sub song structure for major song changes (1>1a>1b>1c ect). A hassle i could see, is when you wanted to change a track from one section to anot…

Thanks for answer, @Sam. Ive been wondering about that myself and hoped it would be treated the way you've outlined. i went with the overlay myself.
-
Have you watched the tutorial videos? it sounds like you're loading samples into a kit correctly. the blinking back is to go back or "up" in the file tree structure on the sd card. so if you have loaded "808 kick", back button would take you up to y…

I havnt tested if it receives yet.

There may be more ways of doing this that im not aware of yet since ive only had the box for a couple weeks now so maybe someone else can chime in on what theyve found too.

Sending the message at the end of the pattern change then would just require unmuting that track before switching. I have my electribe as master clock to the deluge and have note on messages that are saved withing the electribes saved patteren tha…

You add a midi track to your song and set to channel 1 thru 16 and it sends a program change message( you just select prgm chng with data knob and set it to the number you want) Any time that song begins and that track is unmuted it will send the…

https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https://www.ebay.com/ulk/itm/122944388375 Ive been using this single cable that is hand made by this ebay seller for years now. Its a 1 in 4 out. Ive had it hooked up to well over 15 different boxes and i…

Thanks! A few i had missed on there.

Awesom to hear that!

Agree though, threshold recording would be useful, as would a straight audio-thru, and also a noise gate...the list could go on...but really im still only a couple weeks with the machine, so im sure i don't know all the possibilities yet...there's p…

the rec trigs on the octatrack do good job of hands-free recording...you could try setting a sustain pedal on a controller to trigger recording...it would need to be a latching pedal im guessing...ive not tried to learn a pedal to the deluge yet
-
If you hold the record button down at the same time as you hit an audition pad it will record at that point and then you just hit record again to stop. I know thats not the same as threshold recording from external audio but gets you similar results…

i did somehow corrupt the config file messing with some settings on my own and had to reformat and reinitialize the card using the toshiba utility...but the good news is it can be messed up and still fixed! ha

nice man. lots of potential here

yeah kinda figured that may be the case. i was able to get a momentary cc switch to learn though. set it on 127 off 64 and could trigger it on the reverb and get reverb blasts ha. so momentary switches at least work on synths.
