just did the update @jamiefaye , and im finding Songs to not be loading. I can open like 2 and the rest just stall out on saying "loading." Any ideas? its my 1st upgrade. i copied the list file and the entire dr folder. thanks

@Icoustik agreed. No need to mount/unmount the deluge as a drive, or any of that. You can be adding samples into the deluge -as its running- from your phone or desk. Pretty awesome really.
-
Its not via usb, though. Its a wireless connection you acsess as a new drive or through an internet browser.
-
Have a look at the Downrush software, if you havnt. It uses a wifi card to do what I think your asking for. Its pretty awesome. Theres a topic on the forum here about it.

😎 @jscottk. Yea, i just took a guess at which octave C is set to play straight at. Glad you got it tho.

Off the top o ma head...create a synth track, set osc to sample, make the note length on the grid at C2, then hold on a step on a note above or below C2 and make your knob adjustment at that step, then erase the step. To get volume drops, just lock …

yep, the card is 32gb limit. the cpu can hit a threshold tho, and it will start dropping out parts, but its a pretty dang high roof as is. also, rumor has it, the new firmware will be increasing the performance --30 FOLD-- but if you mainly just us…

solid @wam thanks for sharing that.
-
For sure @Lukree , @jamiefaye has been doing some cool stuff with Downrush.
-
Ive not encountered this, though im mostly using one-shots to 8 bar loops, and only 3 or 4 at a time. If i get a chance this week, ill try and trigger 4 or 5 long samples and see if it cuts out.

Not for everyone i know, but ive been sending a midi track out to a sp404 that triggers a "mastered" kick drum thats at a level im aiming for. That way, i have an external reference point i can use to balance the deluge's tracks with. Still, +1 for…

Oh, snap! Rmr deluge videos on the horizon! Be really interested to see what you do with it. Your vids and music are some of my fav to check out. File structure has also been where i scratch my head a bit. Songs, kits, and patches all have a "ma…

That your post, @vjfranzk? Hows that working out still?

A fb post by Franz Keller says hes using a "Sterilite 8.5 x 11 Paper Box"

@Icoustik thanks for the link. so i guess the distribution maths would be the processing part for the deluge. you can already offset notes and change step length. @Salamndr1 could def get some weird going, but also some pretty nod worthy bits.

Thats cool to know then, that it is future proof for that sort of functionality, if the desire is there to implement it. If the added card features don't introduce new gremlins, or upset core funtionality/ stability, it would definitely add value…

Guessing tho, the deluge's clock is at a deeper level than the sd has access to? But if direct sample streaming was able to be retro-actively implemented, maybe the ableton link protocol could be too. Not that its at all vital to the deluge's need…
-
I put this in the downrush section cause Jamie is our wifi sd wizard but mod, feel free to move it to general.

30x the current RAM in the next update. Thats just awesome.

Ive bookmarked the recent discussions page from classic view on my phone, and it now loads automatically in mobile veiw when i open it. Using android/firefox.

Maybe as in: 'hm, this looks worth looking into, i might have to get a couple.' Price is decent. Ive always had gear flat. I shouls treat myself, ha.
-
hmm... maybe thanks for the link @alien_brain

midi learn is for what is coming -into- the deluge, to control the deluge's functions. if your sending midi out from the deluge into another kit, you do it with a midi track created on the deluge set to the channel your other box is set to receive…

@alien_brain said: i think this just keeps you from developing the personality of a groove by the power of your own edit, which is based on trying and failing or refining until you get it 'there'. this is how a musician gets better imho. this w…

cool! thanks @Jscottk i hadn't realized recording was one step back, after new is selected. its a little fiddly having to get that start right. a count-in record setting would help. Also maybe making the recording a stretch type could help the ti…

@jscottk man, so much potential with that idea! I kinnnda got the gist, but yea, a video would help clarify whatchutalkn bout. Having nearly an entire song within a single kit track, that is grabing live loops, with unlimited parts, and is just a b…

+1 be awesome to have just in kit tracks really

It can probably do what you're looking for cas its a swiss army knife of sorts...but it could also be over-kill for what you're after. Its main crowd, i would say, is folks wanting the sequencing power of a computer without the drawbacks of being …
