dont understand what in-place saving is? imhave the same problem, using subsongs to compose a song it is a pain to align stuff. my hope is the upcoming copy&paste for tracks across songs.

dont know what a sound api could be. dont think u will be able to accurately mimic the deluge synth engine with JS.

great work, cool idea. digging web browser synth editors. no install and sharing user presets is easy to implement.

yes, i never use sample mode „once“, mostly „cut“. there is a suggestion thread about an extended globl config where u could set defaults like this

just open the xml file in /SONGS with a text editor and look for file paths, starting with SAMPLES/.. the „code“ you see is xml, which is markup like html. consider a backup first, u can loose your songs if u dont know what u are doing.
