  • Yes, I have one or more instrument row (say drums on one row and some synth or bass on another) in arranger to create a full song structure and I am needing to live record the singer's loops at say the middle eight or to build up vocal loops during …
  • I have certain sections of song where our singer is building up loops over a backing track (which I now have laid out in arranger on the Deluge) usually between 4 and 8 bars. I tried switching to song mode from arranger while the arrangement is play…
  • To clarify, what this would mean would be to convert a Song level collection of recorded rows to a Kit level one, with each recorded loop at song level becoming a sample within the kit
  • @Spacebat said: I'm actually thinking of getting one of these instead. Any reason why it would not work for live looping on Delige when playing a guitar with both hands? https://www.keithmcmillen.com/products/12-step/ I think you'd be…
  • Is there a list of products that can be powered from the Deluge USB, not only used for MIDI? I have succesfully used the following powered by Deluge: KMI BopPad (did find it could take a few goes at powering on to get it to work though) iRig …
  • Excellent work. Very useful. Thanks for taking the time
  • I’ve been in contact with the manufacturers that Synthstrom are sourcing the pedals from and they are definitely coming. I’d rather buy the switch through Synthstrom as they deserve our support but it seems crazy to me to ship them from Europe to NZ…
  • Hi there, good folks at Synthstrom. Is there an ETA on the footswitches? I'm getting an itchy trigger finger...or toe to be more accurate.
  • @MoneyKenny said: Wow, great work on the new update - this is incredible! I have noticed some instability in the new build however. When practicing with my band, in the middle of a song, the Deluge seemed to freeze up and go into a MIDI panic. Th…
  • Hi peeps. Possible bug, though may be my error or intended function. Was quickly tinkering with the new looping functionality and set Count in to 'On'. I had a single Audio track for the loop recording (song mode). The count in did not sound until I…
  • Been jamming with the Deluge. Laid back Techno. Hope ye likey
  • It's a feature I was hoping might come to the Deluge but didn't hold out too much hope that it would. Looks like you've gone the extra mile once again. Use loopers a fair bit with my band and this could really simplify our set-up and be a genuine ga…
  • Hi Ian. Regarding panel overlays would you consider offering a pdf or a file which could be purchased from you for producing our own templates?
  • Yes, it's a cracking piece of kit and I also regard it as one of my very wisest music tech purchases. I am also DAW less until final recording as per the track at the start of this thread or 'mastering' of the resampled two tracks from the Deluge if…
  • P.S. Been listening to some of your tunes on Soundcloud. Really enjoying what I've heard so far though been at work so can't crank the volume to the degree they deserve ;-) Really nice flow! How much is Deluge of the ones you've posted?
  • Thanks, Surf Hunter!
  • I'd say "Get sampling". The Deluge is a great sampler and you can of course turn any sample / sound into a synth by making it really short (ie about 20 milliseconds or a bit either side of that) and setting the playback of that sound to 'Loop' I've …
  • You may need to press 'save' + "synth" on each of these patches in order for them to show up on your SD card, before then deleting them.
  • Thanks for the kind words.
  • Sorted what the issue was (no thanks to anyone here ) User error, of course. Works fine now. problem was I was attempting to sync to takes of the track in Protools that appeared later in chronological order (ie take 1 was at the start of the timeli…
  • Hi. Update generally excellent. Had my first lag issue yesterday though, after installing 2.1.1 plus never heard more about the live input bug I experienced and posted on the feedback forum (under 2.1, not latest update) Also posted a query about sl…
  • I'd suggest it is because you are you using the same sample(s) for two different tracks. I've had this happen, too. I'm going to try duplicating the sample files on the SD card and assign different files to each track and I'm sure this would sort it.
  • @rohan said: Apologies about this really annoying bug - it's fixed in firmware V2.1.1, released just now. http://forums.synthstrom.com/discussion/1779/deluge-firmware-v2-1-1-released No problem. We all know you sort these things ve…
  • I had a simialr bug yesterday. Resampling an 8 bar phrase (comprised of a mix of synth patches I'd made with a theremin and internal kit sounds) to use as a single sample in a kit on a different song. When I loaded the resample file into the new kit…
  • @Eddy said: great Saw Pad Sounds...Samples or Deluge Synth Engine? Hi Eddy. Thanks for the kind words. I think all the synth sounds on this one are internal Deluge sounds (the two melodic ones early in the song and then popping up again l…
  • Excellent work. Not had much time to delve into the multisampling as yet but looking forward to tinkering. Waveform view exceeds expectations and loop points brilliant addition. Much better having bar/beat display in arranger too. Great job all roun…
  • P.S. If you want any specific samples let me know which track(s) they are from and I can send you a link. Cheers.
  • @doodloo said: Very interested in your samples, are they free of rights? Do you use loops or do you have sample based synths on the deluge? Keep it up, it sounds really cool! Hi there. Thanks for the kind words. All the samples I use a…
  • I might have had a similar issue in the past, I can't quite remember how I sorted it but you could try bringing the sustain down and then setting a shorter release time, plus short decay
  • NIce one. I love the sound of a hang drum.
