Also, we have a FAQ here (with questions like battery replacement etc): https://synthstrom.com/frequently-asked-questions/
-
Yes, that's right, in the coming 3.0 software, line-in monitoring is easier. That is not currently implemented though and in beta testing. When released there will be instructions explaining how to do so. Not long now. Until then, you can still use …

In our forthcoming 3.0 firmware update, yes, it is very easy to monitor the incoming audio.
-
Yes, an 18650. Can have button or flat ends. The ones we supply are 3000 mAh, though you can get larger capacity
-
Yes. You see battery level indicated by the light when plugged in and charging.. Or the light will glow red - then flashing red when dying.
-
You can always contact us. We have replacement pads on the website. If you have an older deluge and looking at replacing the front panel, replacing the pads/shift button at the same time is easy.

Great news. There will still be some 'panels' in the mail but most users should be recieving them at the moment, or next week or two. The new redone 'overlays' have been signed off and are being sent to us next week, which we'll then forward on.

@amiga909 said: thanks. goal was to get some insights about what is popular. interestingly most ideas are about the sampler, sequencer and workflow. effects and synth engine are less important as it seems. some stats: there are about 1000…

We'll be getting mastered for both streaming/vinyl (if not already mastered for digital)
-
Just bumping this, a little reminder, only a week left to submit a track for consideration for our first users vinyl collection. Lots of submissions already, but keep 'em coming! Find out more here: https://synthstrom.com/music-label/

Nice work.

What would the workflow of this be for e.g. the looping functionality? We'll have some video showing soon. Rohan has been busy designing a UI for effective hands free looping.

@pfrf said: Good questions. We have done the same- sent the MIDI to hardware synths and the audio into Logic Pro. We tried to record the vocals straight into the Deluge but found it too difficult. So we recorded vocals into the computer, chopp…

@ShadowPilot said: This sounds awesome. I have questions galore. Would the deluge only version be more ideal in this case? (I have video demonstrating the original composition) Whatever sounds best is the best version. As long as t…

@FlipSos said: Would love to see this as well… Well you're lucky, as we've already announced this is in our next update

@pfrf said: @Ian_Jorgensen I just read through the submission form- “All samples included in this recording are mine or able to be distributed.” Is using Goldbaby 808 drum samples or similar not allowed? Or are you saying all samples mu…

@RhyminGarFunkle said: @Ian_Jorgensen I got an email yesterday saying that my top panel order is being processed, even though I put the order in two months ago. Is this a glitch, or are the top panels being shipped? Sorry for slow reply, …

Yeah, there are specific software testing utilities, but the purpose of our testing is to open it up to regular peeps, who might possibly already have accounts on platforms and use them for other purposes so are signed in often and check often - the…

Unfortunately these forums are not suitable for beta testing. I set up a private forum and road tested the usability and reporting, and it's totally inadequate. There is simply no way these forums would work. Perhaps a platform like Slacker or Trell…

$55 shipping, and you can expect around 100-140 euro in additional import costs.

I appreciate everyones feedback, keep in mind, you're asking a lot more work of us, and it's something that will take time. We've been utilising Facebook since day one, far before we had a forum, we don't want to be douchebags and let down all those…

I'm anxious about the next firmware update. When do you think we'll get one? As mentioned in our last newsletter (http://forums.synthstrom.com/discussion/2076/newsletter-april-2019), we're expecting to go to beta testing (any user with a Fac…

@amiga909 said: i love how ian picks four letter examples 😀 haha, was I that transparent

Cool, yeah, its in the "plans" to change platforms, unfortunately, it would just eat into other projects....there are a ton of other projects already rolling out alongside 3.0, I'm trying to avoid adding more things to that list. We'll look at it f…

Haha, I'm open to most things at the moment other than changing the beta testing platform, it's taken a lot of effort to verity the close to 500 current beta testers and being the eve of another round, having to go through all that again would be a …

@darenager said: ^ For me this is potentially the best update for the Deluge yet, and the last two were pretty awesome. Haha, especially with sample delete yeah...:)

@j3threejay said: @Ian_Jorgensen Ian, Any way for us to beta test for us not on Facebook? Thanks! Not officially. We can't have multiple platforms where people report bugs otherwise it's twice as much wor…

So the Deluge isn't really 'optimised' as a stems player, it is more that it 'can' play stems - more as a by-product of streaming than an intended addition, we don't really push this as a recommended workflow as yes, you are going to hit limits fast…
