@joesh said: or maybe if you record at a low level simply have a normalize option on a Deluge, it's pretty standard on most software nowadays. From the deluge manual: "After recording samples into a kit, the Deluge digitally normali…

+1 for EDM presets. I'm specifically interested in your approach to super saws (like in future bass).

I don't think there's a way other than listening to it at the moment. I think it starts compressing the sound as soon as the output level reaches the limit, rather than distorting it. I once resampled a track where the clips were way too loud and wa…

Interesting. I am just guessing here: maybe both clips are played through the same instance of the preset? Which makes me wonder what happens if you use a preset with "mono" enabled, so that you can only play one note at once? Will it still play bot…

I don't know, sounds like a bug to me, especially since you can't replicate the behavior. 🤷🏻♂️

I'm using a tascam dr100 mk2 for that. Any fieldrecorder with XLR works, you can use the headphone jack as an output. Plus you have a pair of stereo mics at hand that you can use as well.

Yes it does when controlling an external synth, no unfortunately it doesn't work with the internal synth engine.
-
In another thread someone discovered that the sustain pedal works with the midi track like when controlling an external synth, but the internal synth engine doesn't respond to the sustain.

That was it, thank you!

@Kenoubi said: you can also use a single "meta-patch cable" per patch. Amazing, thank you! I found it in the manual, its "6.2 Modulation Routing Advanced". But the limit of one meta-patch cable doesn't seem to apply, I successfully modula…

I love this and maybe one day I'll build it myself. 😁 Thanks for making this open and free to use!

Wouldn't it be better to focus on the forum for everyones good? Why spread the community out onto multiple platforms? Doesn't this directly contradict the efforts of synthstroms recent shift from facebook to the forum?

Oh that chiptune lead is so lovely! The use of shifting everything up a semitone during playback is interesting. Your stream recording is entertaining. So many little fails and wins, its fun to watch. You have a nice workflow going on, I think …

Very nice vibe. And it has a laidback flow to it. Some sounds could have been less digital and cold, but thats just my taste. This track was probably "meant differently" and I enjoyed it. I also liked the slightly unexpected chord progression and…

Good thinking. In my opinion option 2 is the way to go, though it won't be up to us to decide about that.

I think @andersh has the same problem as me: How do you place risers (or even harder: transition samples) in the arranger correctly, so that the end of the sample (or the peak of it) happens exactly in the moment of transition? For me the proces…

Thank you! Yeah, field recorded sounds go a long way. I have a Tascam DR-100 myself but most times the phone is handier. At first I tried to think of a simple way to transfer the files from my phone or the tascam to the deluge, but there was no way…

Where did you put the samples? Into the SAMPLES folder? Can you create a new kit and see if you can access said files that way when you load a sample into a pad?
-
Yeah the last year has left a lot of us scrambled up. Hopefully there are better years ahead of us. And in the meantime keep it up and take your beloved deluge out for a walk in the sun.

This is so cool, the samples create a very crucial and rich context for the music. I loved the first synth pad a lot. Also thanks for including some background about yourself, I hope things start to look better and brighter for you. Being able to…

@Myrk said: My understanding is that MPE means if I plug a synth into Deluge in the future, in midi mode the cutoff filter will automatically control the cutoff filter of the synth without me having to assign, correct? It's about automatic setup …

Wonderful! So dreamy and calm. I just wished that the noise wasn't as loud, so it doesn't wash out the rest, but it felt really nice after it faded away.

I have the same problems you describe but with a different midi controller. (See here: https://forums.synthstrom.com/discussion/3373/midi-keyboard-not-working-with-deluge) Synthstrom support couldn't help me with this. After a while I asked: …
-
Wow I really enjoyed that, thank you! So calm and thoughtful, beautifully crafted. The tracks flow into each other like they belong to the same family but still every track is special in its own way. I think 'In Yum Yum' is my favorite, I love the …

Hey thanks for your answer. These workarounds are vibe killers when you're in the zone and just want to get things down. I appreciate you thinking this through, but its not going to work for me. Seems like I just have to bite the bullet and buy a …

Hi @stefan01 you need an adapter for this purpose: USB Type A-Female to B-Male, its about five bucks on ebay. https://synthstrom.com/product/usb-type-a-female-to-b-male-adaptor/
