I still use the card I got with my deluge and haven't formatted it. I have occasional freezes for example when loading a big song while another one is playing, but also sometimes without any obvious cause (at least to me it's not). All in all it's …

Thank you! No I did not sample the piano myself. I downloaded a free multisample from somewhere ("Steinway Grand Piano", I don't remember where I got it). Every key has its own sample. It is meant to work with velocity layers, so it has the folders…

Thanks for your kind words! Inspiring others is the best I could hope for 😊 If you ever make your own version of this idea make sure to link it here, I'd love to hear it!

Congrats, welcome to the fam! 😁

Maybe the connection to the speaker got a little loose during transport?

You have such an intense and fun past! Very cool to see you transfering your experience and knowledge to modern day instruments and genres. That is something only someone like you can offer and I have the feeling that here and there I can hear the p…

I'll be honest @Will : One of the first posts I saw from you was about your progress on the pedal powered music station and I only realize now that I judged you for it. I projected from myself unto you and thought that if I built that, it would sure…

I believe the USB port only powers external devices as long as the deluge is plugged in, which defeats your purpose (I could be wrong though). A clip on reading lamp is the most elegant solution, I'd say. Another solution would be to modify your u…

Thank you for your detailed answer! That is quite something, I'll have to try again 😁

That's crazy! Thank you for sharing! I tried stuff like this and aimed at something Brian Eno like, but failed so far. I'd love to be able to make generative ambient myself. Do you have any helpful insights in that field?

Do clips use the cpu even if they're muted?

Yes

I don't have any live experience with the deluge, but Jeremy Blake has. In this video he explains the setup he used to play a set for the lofi festival. I think it answers a couple of questions you have.

@musirafael DO IT!

brifely dragging finger at the very edge in one direction Yes I tried that, but then the unwanted CC sent a zero. But maybe it's just how I tried it. Doesn't matter in my case, because either way I wouldn't be able to use it smoothly. …

Oh okay, thanks for the quick answer and the workaround! As always it's Icoustik for the rescue

Since y'all have been so helpful I thought I'd fill you in on what happened in the meantime. I got the Korg nanopad2 and it worked just as I had hoped: I could use it as a midi foot controller and the small form factor was amazing. However, I was a…

Thanks for posting! Everything Jeremy does is just so mindblowing and inspiring and this is no exception. Very cool.

Well, originally I opened this thread to set something against the constant nagging about the display but it's always on the verge of derailing and I guess here we go again. I don't get why people keep talking about and hoping for a deluge 2: syn…

Very good idea, thanks!

I use a Tascam DR-100 MK2 if I'm not recording directly into a daw.

I just want to backup what @ceetronic said. Same here.

As far as I know there's no quality loss in resampling since it gets "written down" digitally before any conversion into analog signal. So you should be good to go. In my experience a little master compression and some eq do help the deluge output …

I'm just going to quote @PixelKicker from this post about the same topic: Now you are at a cross roads, if you want to mix tracks individually and then master, you can either solo them and play them direct into a DAW using an Audio Interface o…

I just wanted to report that I just successfully mapped the launch / mute button of a clip in song view to a nanoPad2. As too_mere said, it sends out midi notes.

I'm not sure but I think content of this quality by a new deluge owner is illegal... What an incredible addition to the deluge fam! Thank you for sharing and I'm excited for your future deluge performances! EDIT: There's an entire half hour pe…
