Thanks for the response, and yes it is—I can try to downgrade a bit later and see if I can do the whole thing over again. Very excited to dive into the new features.
-
Thanks for all of your work! I'm really excited to try this out but I got an "Error" message on startup (+shift), and now I get an "Error" every time I turn my Deluge on.
-
Although... built in autosampler on the Deluge? There's a suggestion for ya.
-
Whoops, wrong post category.
-
Yep, unfortunately. You can launch the PGM message immediately doing a shift press of the clip though.

@funktree said: I keep asking the same question the linnstrument have "Y" as modwheel also you can set it to any CC but I cannot get it working. How did you do your "Y" mapping ? I can double-check a bit later but the way I'm remembering …

Nudging and default velocity, awesome (it would be pretty cool if there were separate velocity settings for internal vs MIDI...). Thanks for all of your work!

Bluetooth MIDI adapters work really well with the Deluge, there's never any latency that I notice and it's more solid than USB for me.

Here are the instructions to fix this that Ian sent me when I first got my Deluge and emailed him about it: Hey manateemilitia, so it might seem odd, but the Deluge is malleable, designed to be such that if dropped, it can be twisted back to s…

This would be so useful for me, particularly once I've edited a preset and want to save it as a new user patch.

After getting the velocities dialed in, I'm loving the Linnstrument + Deluge combo. Can't wait for MPE support to really open this up but even as is, recording the velocity/pitch bend/mod amounts/aftertouch into a track really liven it up. In fac…

@Stromer said: i want to ask what the philosophie is behind this architecture? From a development standpoint, I'm very curious about this too. Maybe it's because of my background in service-oriented architecture but it seems very odd …

Okay, there is a way to do this: just create a new clip from the original midi clip and change is pgm value. The best way I've found to sync this to change patterns on my Elektron device (since the Deluge waits for the completion of a clip to send t…

I would love this feature.

I'm pretty sure you can sequence an incoming live signal and it'll pitch shift it, as far as gating... You could probably get a gate effect with aggressive parameter locking/recording on the clip volume (or via some other volume modulation).

@Hotelsinus said: its still a big big problem with the workflow. the "save - change -save - loand - change" is not a solution for the problem.... Yeah, agreed. I find myself using some external gear more and using the Deluge just to c…

I'm doing some completely unrelated internal MIDI mods to some other gear and I just wanted to say that this is an inspiration. Curious to see how it's working now! This looks smaller and cheaper: Hobbytronics USB Host than the above host board b…

The isomorphic layout of the Deluge inspired me to pick up a used Linnstrument that's arriving today... I'll be itching to see those X/Y pads become useful! It's pretty great that the Deluge team is planning on adding MPE support (and yes, hopefully…

What if when in the clip view of a specific preset, you select "Affect Entire Song" and it changes the value for every instance/clip of that preset in the song? This maintains the current workflow some prefer and adds support for control-oriented pa…

Yeah, rearranging the order akin to moving clips in clip view would be handy if hiding weren't available.
-
Despite the weird spam hijack... I'm in Austin. Not a Deluge pro (I barely use most of the sampling features) but it's my primary tool for music creation and sequencing my modular.
-
You're all totally right of course, however my misconception does seem to bring up a valid issue. Clips are tied to a preset (you can't have concurrent clips of the "same" preset in arranger or song view) but the underlying preset in these clips doe…

I don't have an OP-1, but this is amazing work!
-
That's what I'm hoping! I'll mess with it tonight and double-check.
-
I usually hate this kind of suggestion but an ipad and a bluetooth midi adapter for the deluge creates a very powerful and portable setup (plus you can record and process the deluge with effects on the ipad, depending on your audio setup).
-
Thanks! One more question though: Would that then change the preset across all songs/projects?
-
Okay, what I've got is that in the clip I've made my changes I save and overwrite to the same preset and then load the preset again in the other clips... Does that sound right?
-
Ha! I definitely mis-typed there and meant to say 143A. I could have sworn this is how it worked—but previous functionality notwithstanding, how would I best propagate parameter changes to every clip for a specific preset?
-
Really strange, they work as expected on my Deluge. I wonder what could be causing the difference.
-
That sounds like the old layout position to me. Are you sure the firmware is update?
