@OmskInfo said: I guess it's pretty obvious that, as we approach 2 years for this "easy to implement" idea, it will never happen. Really disappointed. I wonder if we can do a petition or something.

I'm praying that the next firmware update lets you adjust parameters across tracks sharing the same preset.
-
Well, of course if you save something with the same name it will overwrite the existing preset. Sorry, What I meant was that even if you don't save the tweaked patch, it will still take the place of the saved patch that shares the same name …
-
I believe that a tweaked preset will always override the saved version if it shares the same name. I designated a "trash" slot where I dump all of my unwanted tweaked presets so I don't crowd up my memory with presets that I don't even like.
-
People forget that the keypad acts as a second screen.
-
Most of the workarounds I've tried involved saving the preset with parameter changes into a new preset slot and trying to get the other clone tracks to load the updated preset. It's hard because the other clones insist on keeping the original parame…

Do I have to go through their numeric values, note them down, and manually apply them to the other linked clips? Unfortunately, yes. There are weird workarounds, but none of them are very reliable or convenient.
-
I usually just change the synth parameters around between the two tracks and eventually they become unlinked. Not an exact science, but I always manage to get them unlinked.
-
This would be amazing.
-
That would be great. My Yamaha RM1X does this.

I came up with a new workaround for this issue. So, let’s say you have a little song consisting of a drum track and two bass lines (bass 1 and bass 2) that use the same synth patch. You close the filter cutoff on bass 1, but you want the same par…

+1 still brooding over this in 2020
-
If you change the preset on one of the cloned clips, they become un-linked. If you want both clips to be un-linked but have the same preset, you need to clone the preset which makes two copies of the same preset. See below from the manual: Loa…

Have these complaints ever been acknowledged by the developers?
-
I was thinking of bringing this up as well.
-
@Noris said: But I also would prefer the standard way (as 99% of all sequencers are operating): ALL parameters affect all clones. That absolutely makes sense to me if I’m thinking about usual workflows (mixer style). And I don’t see any disad…

In the sound editor, go to "TYPE" and select "INL". I think this will switch it to mono on both channels.
-
Link parameter changes across multiple tracks that use the same synth/kit preset.
-
For anyone who's curious, the PCB screws are metric M2 machine screws and are 4mm long. Below is the link to the ones I bought. They fit perfectly. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07BN311F4?ref=ppx_pt2_dt_b_prod_image

Try a few different screwdrivers. Some work way better than others even though they are the same size.
-
I am constantly muting tracks to figure out which is which.
-
@Kenoubi I'm sad to report that automations get left out with my method as well. There really needs to be a function to disable song-internal preset saving and only work off of what has been saved to the card.
-
I think I found a clunky but reliable workaround for this: * First, I created a dummy preset (named it "dummy" now that 3.0 lets you) * Then I make changes to a parameter (let's say close the LPF for a bass sound) * Then I save the preset…

Has anyone found any improvement on this issue in Version 3.0?

I ordered a replacement panel back in July. I'm in California, and I'm also wondering if I should be worried that it got lost in the mail...
-
Thank you for clearly describing this problem. It's been driving me absolutely insane as well. It's actually the only real issue I have with the workflow.
-
Firmware version can be viewed in one of the main settings options (push down shift+select knob then select "FIRM") I think the only battery level indicator is the little light when it is plugged to a power source. Green is full and yellow is som…

+1 definitely

I'm anxious about the next firmware update. When do you think we'll get one?
