Yeah quite different with a little overlap, not sure if I would get one as yet but not as a Deluge replacement anyway.
-
Yes, there are probably a lot of sequencing and play modes that would be great on Deluge - x,y playback, ping pong, rotate etc, the Tenori On had some quite novel stuff too which would probably work well on the Deluge UI.
-
Those look really nice.

@MaxOS said: You could have two tracks with similar voices controlled by the same midi channel. Then you have four oscillators! Yes and separate fx, envelopes, filter etc for each. I think stacking voices which is so easy to do on the D…
-
Hmm, fades would be nice but a lot can be done with envelopes, have you found instances where using the envelope does not give you the desired outcome?
-
Thanks for the info @Ian_Jorgensen 16 stems is impressive, I doubt I would have the need for more than a couple at a time, but I’d be interested to know more about simultaneous samples/stems/synth voices and how these impact performance and realisti…

@spawnkiss 2 24bit files at 48khz is a much more demanding data rate than 2 16bit files at 44.1khz, 16/44.1 is 1411kbps, 24/48 is 2304kbps assuming stereo files. These are well within the SD cards data rate, but the Deluge obviously is the bottlenec…

@Vondragonnoggin said: That is an audio track not a sample. Not saying it can’t be done, but maybe cutting it up and sequencing it would be more appropriate to a synth/sequencer/sampler that doesn’t have dedicated audio tracks. Deluge…
-
Yes that should work, however you need to make sure that when you want dinsync to run the run/stop line has to stay high, and you need to send clock at the rate of 24ppqn.

Great suggestions @o0_
-
In a word, no. Audio over USB is an entirely different thing to USB host.
-
Yes I found that shortcut by accident early on, it is super handy, still I like the suggestion made by the OP, it could speed up workflow and reduce the chance of accidentally undoing, maybe an option in settings?
-
+1 For more reverb and delay options.
-
+1 collapsable view, custom scales, and no out of scale notes option on keyboard, pad mashing is my jam

Awesome news, I just got the newsletter about it (love the newsletter BTW, only just recently found out about it) I really think the sampling implementation on the Deluge is both amazing and somewhat a little lacking in some minor functions, so I…

Ok cheers Ian

You can use the line in to resample, just set a new kit with line in as the wave type, lay out a full 16 step note so that you can hear the external source, then use the resampling function as usual, you might want to mute and internal Deluge tracks…

Might be a non issue when qwerty is used, type name of sample, as long as we name our samples it should be fast to find them.
-
Some serious hacking there! Probably not much use to you now but these little midi USB hosts are pretty good http://www.hobbytronics.co.uk/usb-host-mini

@rohan said: The Deluge's outputs are 44.1kHz, 24-bit - any source material higher is down-sampled.
-
Yes indeed, I think really my only “complaints” about the Deluge are some operational things which are missing which would enhance workflow, and a few tweaks to what is already implemented, personally I don’t need more synthesis types or bells and w…

Looks great! Well done and thanks to Jon Hutton!
-
Sadly it is not possible.
-
Still not working properly for me, although much better than before, I really don’t like googledoc for manuals, it takes way to long to load and find anything etc, a real workflow killer when looking for information fast. It actually took me about 1…

FYI you can turn off ext sync on SH01a as I do on mine, it is in the menu: Press menu, press 4, turn tempo until it says SYNC, press 1, turn tempo until it says INT, press menu to exit.
-
For #3 I’d turn off receive sync on the external gear, but yes you can stop Deluge sending midi clock in the settings menu.
-
Cool, I might grab an overlay later as well then.
-
Portability and great battery life, and easily user replaceable battery. CV and Gate outputs. Nice well featured sequencer.
-
Ordered, one request - can the matrix buttons text be made a little bolder/larger? Fine if not, but thought I’d ask anyway just in case.

@Ian_Jorgensen Thanks for the reply, I can definitely respect your approach, and that you are such a small team having achieved all this so far is really something.
