Wow, incredible work and massive thanks to all involved, I admit I was a bit worried when the decision to open source the Deluge was announced, but so great to see how successful it has been, both in execution and deployment.
-
Wow, very cool. Interesting to see what comes down the pipe! One possible concern is an unscrupulous manufacturer making “tribute” Deluges for a fraction of the price.
-
Hmm, I think it is a mistake to think any one machine can do everything well. I have a lot of sequencers/samplers because some can’t do things others can. Deluge is an excellent instrument, but so are all the others you mention, each brings its o…

Thanks. The problem with using kits is I mainly use the Deluge as a multitrack recorder - or are you suggesting to load the sample clips into a kit? Then naming them there?
-
Can we rename audio recordings in the clip folder? REC00xxx isn’t exactly helpful when trying to find a specific file.
-
I wish there was a shortcut to turn off monitoring too.
-
Yeah some kind of grouping/collapsing would make it easier to keep track of things.
-
@mxpand Maybe sell them direct to UK on ebay or other marketplace? I think you are missing a sizeable market with no UK, I bought your earlier version and I’d buy other overlays from you as they are very nice.

Thanks for testing, I tried it again with a different breakbeat and was not able to replicate the problem, I’m not sure that I did all the exact same steps as before. I can say with 100% certainty that the video example where the hits were being mis…
-
Here is a short video showing the problem, note that none of the steps have probability - ie they are all 100, but previously they were set to 60% and 4 other trigs per step were each set to 10% as per the example posted by @Ian_Jorgensen in the tip…

Yeah auto normalise is not always desirable, I’d prefer the option to turn it off altogether, even for kit/resampling. I personally don’t want it on audio recordings for the reason mentioned by @Heptagen
-
@dannytaurus nice job on the classic acid lines, you got pretty close on most of them, bravo! Some good picks there.
-
Yes, It is already mapped to custom knobs by default IIRC.
-
Big thanks, the new sequencing stuff is great!

Ok so once a wavetable is loaded the shortcut sets the position with the wavetable. Still, it would be a lot quicker to have them load the wavetable too, rather than the browse, hit ok, hold select, turn to wave, hit ok, it could just be hit wavetab…

I fall into the hate it group too, I’d prefer an octave of the selected scale per row too. I never use the isomorphic mode.

There is a fine line between a DAW and a box with a lot of the headaches of a DAW but with a smaller screen just for the sake of “Dawless” and from the looks of it this new Maschine looks too similar to that to me. Maybe I’m wrong though.
-
Hello Martin, your SOS reviews were always a favourite of mine back in the day, I’m vintage too
-
Yeah truncate/trim is something I’d like to see too, also fades and rotate start position would be handy as well. The waveform view is surprisingly precise so some extra editing functions would be great, even things like muting a section - for examp…

Are you using the electribe2? If so try connecting a mono 3.5mm cable from Delige gate to electribe clock input, in electribe sync settings set to sync in from the sync input (not midi). Now on Deluge create a kit using gate 3, set zoom to 64t…
-
No worries mate
-
Easiest way is probably use a kit, set a row to one of the gate outputs, probably want to do very short note lengths so zoom in maybe to 64th.
