I've only recently gotten a Deluge, but what I've noticed so far- The modulation fx are mono, is that correct? I much prefer stereo modulation fx, but probably I have overlooked a parameter setting. I like the distortion fx well enough. Ther…

Oh yeah I see, thanks.

Thanks for the information. It’s difficult to do a smooth pitch bend with two oscillators, but it’s interesting to automate pitch bend for each oscillator separately. Pitch bending samples works well.
-
Okay, thanks minigoat. I’ll need to keep track of which samples I’ve used. Any idea about pitch bend?
-
Congratulations and thank you!

Thanks for posting. I’m happy you found the bug, I’m happy it’s being fixed, and I’m happy your unit is fine.
-
Someone posted above that Synthstrom is being very helpful, “working to get this sorted”. I just wonder what that involves?
-
hmmmmm I just keep thinking I should wait to order a Deluge until after this issue gets solved. I can buy my own sd card and batteries, but I can’t reprint the text. I really wish there was a reasonable explanation forthcoming, I’m not convinced …

Hey Chris, So the audio is coming out of the built-in speaker? Can you hear the noise through the line and headphone outputs? BTW, I’m just trouble-shooting with you, trying to figure it out, I hope I’m not asking way too obvious questions.
-
That sure sounds bad! A couple questions- How are you recording the audio? Can you eliminate problems with your set-up as a cause of the noise? Are there any tracks muted, is there automation, is this the entire pattern we’re seeing on screen?…

Thank you all for the replies!

Can the Deluge be used with a 9v adapter always plugged in drawing mains power? Or is it wiser or better for the battery to charge the unit then use it on battery power?
-
Thanks. I hope I get a good Deluge and I don’t have to coat anything.
-
I have heard of plastidip. I thought it was a rubber product of some sort. Automotive clear coat is an idea. I’ll google it.
-
Thank you for replying, Ian. Since you’re aware, addressing the issue, and working with the people who have disappearing text, I feel pretty confident. Thanks.
-
What kind of clear spray would you use?
-
You could be right, it might be a problem with a recent batch. I hope Synthstrom are checking into this. I’d like to get a version with print that sticks.
-
Over years of buying/owning gear, boutique pieces as well as new and old instruments, I have never seen the text disappear from a surface like that, especially not after using it for less than a month, as shardm explained. Another poster received a…

My understanding is that loop points are part of the wav format standard. Loop point information can be embedded in and read from an ordinary wav file. There is a sampler chunk- a manufacturer can be specified, I believe, but doesn’t have to be. …

I think what you’re saying makes sense. I like to work at 24/48, but 24/44.1 is in no way a deal breaker.
-
Can the user choose the bit depth and sample rate for the inbuilt microphone and also for resampling?
-
The update coming soon addresses all that, I heard on some video that it will be out mid-June: At 18:40 there is a discussion of stems mode. I know I’ve seen a Superbooth video that goes into even more detail about it, it’s on YouTube somewhere.…

Great idea.

@amiga909 Thanks for the information. 192 is great because it’s easy to sync to Logic’s swing settings. I’ve had trouble before trying to get two pieces of gear to swing together, this should work perfectly.
-
@Sam Wow, that’s fantastic, thanks! What is the resolution of the sequencer in ppqn? Is it 192?
-
The Pyramid has midi effects and a euclidian sequencer. They’re fun but the list of midi effects includes an arpeggiator, quantizer, swing, scale and a few other things that are actually already included in other sequencers. The euclidian sequence…

@minigoat Thanks! I’m still going over the videos and I’ve downloaded the manual. From what I’ve watched so far the Deluge looks very intuitive. I think it will be relatively easy for me to learn. I’m most worried about bugs and especially hard…
-
I haven’t ordered a Deluge yet, but these posts concern me. I’d be selling off two other pieces for the Deluge and I don’t want to regret it. I hope 2.0 addresses these issues, I’ll definitely wait to order.
-
I can understand being really happy with a great piece of gear. Everyone has different needs. I'm coming from using a Pyramid, there are many work-arounds with that sequencer. When I saw the superbooth video where Ian explained the new song mod…

Hey everybody- Thanks so much for the help! Great answers, just what I was hoping for. I’m especially surprised and happy the arp outputs MIDI, that isn’t always the case. I have to wait a few weeks before I can order, I’ll be reading the manual…
