dont know that gear, u might not need a midi thru port. if gear has midi in and midi out, midi thru on out port is possible. for just a midi splitter i’d go for something portable, no need for a power cord or batteries http://midisolutions.com/prod…

thanks for posting the manual. i never knew what to with shared. now with record to arranger it makes actually more sense to me. if i have a track with a kick drum i want it in many sections but dont want to duplicate that track for each section…

nice one mPrinsen! i like launch complete row together with launch section

Agreed, there was a suggestion thread for this http://forums.synthstrom.com/discussion/comment/5970#Comment_5970

@MPrinsen said: For me personally, I wouldn’t care if it replaced the current song view. But, I know some people wouldn’t like it and also for being compatible with older projects, it should be an additional mode. I think sections should n…

@MPrinsen said: Exactly!! The Deluge would defenitely beat the Force if this is ever going to happen!!! And I am very hopeful, since Rohan has shown to be really dedicated and added a lot of major features and improvements so far. Since this is o…

@Volt said: Yes the picture exactly shows what most people are missing here. Though I guess you didn’t mean 128 tracks, right? In this case it would be 16 tracks and each track has 8 variations, so 128 variations (or clips). Of course you can sc…

@MPrinsen said: Also, it seems to allow for multiple launch modes (instant, oneshot, synced to beat/bar etc), which in my opinion is also pretty important and basic features for a sequencer/groovebox made for live jamming. I still have hop…

still one of my top tops. loop region please. composing in arranger would be much more joyful if i wouldnt be punished to hit the stop and start buttons all the time.
-
agreed i dont prefer the use-last-changed-track-length as the default for a new track. a configurable default in the Config menu would be better for me, like having always 2 bars when i create a new track. as a workaround cloning works fairly qui…

not really practical though

always in for more and better effects! especially distortion effects! Currently Deluge has a distinct Saturation/Distortion effect (its a distortion really, saturation is more tame in general i think) plus a Saturation effect on the Drive LPF fil…

does anybody share my confusion? the default mod effect is neither flanger, chorus or phaser. it is a kind of pitch modulation effect, right? i mean the effect that is active when Mod Type is set to OFF.

Synth and kit mode. also available as a global effect in song mode. it is the default effect mapped to mod rate / depth. it cant be accessed via sound editor or pad shortcut.
-
@rcz said: In kit yes you do... Here is my suggested solution. hold learn hold 2 pads over the range of pads you want or 1 current funtionality. release learn and press a also synthtopia.com/content/2019/01/18/midi-2-0-pro…

yeah more mod more joy! to be fair Deluge goes quite far already, sidechain mod is available crazy often and u can even mod the arp rate (not many synths have this). def. could need more mod for all fx (eq, delay, reverb, chorus, distortion, ..)
-
interesting suggestion. upvoted. nice if this was for every preset (synth, midi, cv). would first need http://forums.synthstrom.com/discussion/439/monochrome-single-color-for-tracks though. because a base color only helps a little when colors prim…

@doodloo said: I think something clearly changed with 2.1 - before, a synth 10, 10a, 10b etc would not be allowed to play at the same time - unmuting a track would mute the others. I noticed that now, a 10a can play at the same time as a 10, 10b,…

http://forums.synthstrom.com/discussion/comment/6868#Comment_6868 64gb didnt try yet. my 2 cents: usual i/o speed is enough, no need to pay extra, toshiba and sandisk works for me, dont go cheap and backup now and then.

@Volt said: And of course, if Link could be implemented Deluge would stay fully independent to the outerworld. It would be just more tight if you want to use with other stuff. nope, u cant improve tightness by trying to emulate the Link m…

maybe you got a midi feedback loop? can lead to very strange effects.
-
No, you cant, or it seems crazy to convert Midi to Ableton Link. The app you mention is one-way. Ableton Link uses a network protocol, you cant use Midi DIN to transmit Ableton Link messages. Ableton Link is unlike Midi. While Midi is Master/Sl…

still one of the highest voted threads. originated when there was no Arranger. it came to my mind that Arranger view is something like Ableton view. Both views are grid based. In Ableton coumns represent instruments and rows represent patterns. I…
-
@Volt said: Not sure if I understood your question. In the Deluge you can „jam“ with just 8 clips per time. With an Ableton style clip launcher this could be 128 clips per time! And if the tracks would be vertically (not horizontally) you cou…

a phrase arpeggiator would be rad.

+1, seems like a no-brainer. up to 128 samples at my fingertips at once, I'd love to have that.

there is Downrush. it works fine and jamie just wrote a firmware update made it much more stable, have to try. i like the idea, imagine 3th party apps could develop interfaces. a Downrush without a wifi sd card. technically it is not an easy tas…
