Yes, a power supply is needed for the Deluge to use USB MIDI in host mode. Power is not needed for only communicating with a computer/DAW.

It sounds like it’s adding a loop of the kit instead of the audio clip. You need to change the focus to the audio clip. I covered that in this thread: https://forums.synthstrom.com/discussion/4132/looping-workflow#latest

Did you make sure to have power supply and USB connected before powering on the Deluge?

Try a factory reset (hold select while powering on). If still won’t power on, make sure the battery hasn’t come dislodged.

Not currently possible. You’d have to just copy the parameter settings. This may be easier to copy and paste from XML files if you can find the right parts.

No. Like I said, the automation lasts until the next note. One value per note. But you can program additional notes during the tail, program their step automation, and then remove the note. That note will be gone but the step automation will remain.

I don’t know if it would change a controller that is chargeable but it does provide power to most USB powered controllers, if that’s what you mean.
