@Heptagen said: Good thinking, but unfortunately changing synth type to "in" doesn't give you a granular effect, because the deluge doesn't buffer any signal to granulate. Indeed! I mostly meant that this method of using the arp has opene…
-
Very cool! I played around with it last night - a cool way to add some variety is to modulate arp rate (with, say, LFO1). Also, this method opened up some ideas for using the Deluge as an external FX (similar idea, but with OSC type set to IN), w…

I think the Q is fixed. You can vary the frequency through the shortcut pad on the Deluge (next to the frequency parameters for LPF and HPF).
-
Just downloaded - looking forward to checking them out! Thanks for your work
-
Well, you can assign/unassign a MIDI controller to a clip from song mode by holding LEARN + clip row. Might save you a bit of time (if you haven't already figured that out ). The Deluge system is a bit different than others (say Elektron) but is…

He said on FB they would not be there due to coronavirus travel restrictions

Love the flute! Thank you!! @Icoustik thanks for those patches I noticed they're all panned hard left - is this your standard practice when dealing with mono sounds? Appreciate how you use velocity and random!
-
Settings menu > RECO > QUANtize, turn to OFF. When I say "adjust it afterwards" I just mean fix any bum notes. You can either nudge a note left or right on the grid (hold note and push down and turn on the <> knob) or just delete the …

Thanks for sharing Ian y'all rock!

I don't know if you are the same person as this reddit poster who had the same thought as you https://www.reddit.com/r/DelugeUsers/comments/oz28j1/deluge_31_guidebook_with_pdf_outline_added/

@Herwr It's not out for beta testing yet (as far as I know). Also, anyone can sign up for beta testing
-
@annaluise woah this sounds really cool! I don't have my MIDI controller setup right now but am definitely interested in trying it out. Would love to heard some sounds you get if you're up for posting them

I believe this is a known shortcoming of the Deluge learn functionality. Maybe one of the members here can provide a workaround
-
You will need to MIDI learn each row of the drum kit to be played by a key on the MF. I think the combination is Learn + Audition Pad + Key on MF
-
Yep. I do what @Too_Mere says: if you want to remove the first bar, move the whole sequence to the left 1 bar and then cut off the last bar from the sequence.
-
@Too_Mere when I try that, it still waits a bar before changing to the arranger play. Am I missing something? Regardless, since @tingel is trying to have the clip start before the other clip ends, it seems that the arranger option would not allow…
-
Hm, I don't think so - that would be awesome though! I know the Octatrack and 1010 Blackbox and two sequencers that feature this functionality .. I think it's a relatively rare feature Following this thread in case someone has a workaround
-
@Heptagen I was actually responding to @Sakunera Just listened to your track though - lots of fun! The bass sounds great - is that an electric bass or a synth?
-
Sounds great! I like the vibe of Procrastinate!! Mellow all day Thanks for sharing
-
I dig this track! Laid back, an enjoyable listen @Sakunera said: When you come over to the Deluge after working on music for a while, you skip all the learning basic concepts stages and can actually just explore it with a more open cre…

Very enjoyable listen! Thanks for sharing, I'm inspired as well Cool to hear that coming from the multi-sampled abilities of the Deluge. FWIW, I think the Deluge can sorta do 2 velocity layers by loading each sample into an oscillator and then m…

Somebody else on this forum made this chart: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1qGCLEIgrX_6k8iLv57Am9SzuBJnQy1aZ4D7OR104KeU/edit?usp=sharing

Yeah I prefer the workflow on other machines where you can quantize (by a certain percentage) after recording, or add full quantization to a track/clip. For the Deluge, I just record without quantization and then adjust it afterwards or manually ent…
-
Okay new idea: you could use stereo single cycle waveforms that are panned a little (or a lot) in the stereo field? And then set your oscillator type to sample. Pretty hacky and you wouldn't be able to adjust on the Deluge but it seems like it would…
-
Sounds great! That bass is huge and also fits in snuggly with the rest of the track Love the way the hats sound throughout - I've found the Deluge is great for shaping hats with all its FX.
-
I don't have my Deluge in front of me right now, but I think I get some use of it by turning the delay time really low (fast) and then modulating the delay amount right above and below that half-way point. Also try putting delay amount at about 60% …
-
@joesh sure! I just have a kit track that is devoted to being a metronome. I think I chose a 808 shaker. The song template I use has one set to 4/4. It's very flexible because you can control it as a kit. E.g. pan it, decide which note the accent…
-
@Icoustik thanks for sharing that I assumed that the Deluge had low output because compared to my other devices, I have to crank up the gain on my mixer to get it to the desired level. That being said, after a few instances of internal clipping, I …
