I know exactly what you mean and you are correct. This skip happens also at anytime mutes are done within one kit

Simply naming a track and having that flash/show in songmode when either pressing the track itself or the audition button would be -immensely- helpful yes...

Having said all that - As soon as you sync the 4000 to external sync, the timing becomes super filmsy and jittery. This has been confirmed since ages.
