  • Improve the Sound of the Synth Engine or add other Synths

As someone who frequents the forums and Reddit posts, one weakness of the Deluge keeps coming up again and again. A lot of people don't feel that the synth engine sounds very good compared to a lot of other hardware. A lot of people feel that the Deluge synth is missing something and some people really entirely on other hardware or samping as a result.

I think the Deluge is the best piece of hardware out there, but I feel something is missing with the synth when compared to others. If the Deluge synth engine could be improved or if other synths could be added I feel like the Deluge would be the best at everything.

The sounds aren't as deep and full sounding as many others. I don't know anything about software to be honest and very little about synthesis, but I'm wondering if there is a way to improve or expand the synth engine to make for better sounds. Is there, or is a limitation of how it was built?

I have heard that synths like the Microfreak could be ported to the Deluge since they are open source and perhaps there are others? I'd greatly appreciate any perspective on this.

  • Bass Station 2 multisamples and patches collection

These sound really great, and I have a question. I'm just going through some of the folders, and it sounds like they are all in a specific scale rather than having all the notes. I'm not sure though if that's just a structure thing and some of the same preset are in different folders? I'd love to understand this. Thanks.

  • Multisampled instruments not loading properly

I'm experience a glitch that I think is related to Multi Samples. In a project where I have multi sampled instruments, I will try to active a row while a song is playing but the Deluge gets hung on "RemainingLoops 1" and never plays the row I've activated. The LED's continue flashing as though it's going to switch but it just keeps playing the same thing (If I'm in an instrument, the row of white LED's that go by to show where you're at don't reappear once they've gone off screen, but the loops keeps playing as it was).

I have to stop and start the Deluge to get it to switch. This doesn't appear to happen in projects where I just have kits and synths.
