  • Could metadata be added to the manual so that it's more navigable in the sidebar please?

Could metadata be added to the manual so that it's more navigable in the sidebar please? Most manuals I use seem to have this. It's very helpful indeed. M8 manual and Deluge manual posted for comparison. ![](https://forums.synthstrom.com/uploads/editor/bm

  • How to setup a Deluge powered USB lamp

I'd sooner use a clip on battery powered lamp to avoid straining the socket and keep cable free.

  • Sample organization / SD card folder structure

This is the one thing that holds me back from ordering a deluge: the absence of a screen for browsing samples on SD. I like to import one shots from huge multi sample libraries on my other boxes, they all have some kind of screen that can do letters, even if they're small like the mc101. I guess I'd have to accept the need to pre prepare some folders. I really hope there is a deluge 2 with same size but more informative screen! The lack of screen dependence is great discipline for the interface but sometimes you need to be able to see the letters in a sample name!

  • Understanding SELECT knob synth browser behaviour: why are folders sometimes not visible?

I don't think there's any less confusion, when browsing sounds in the context after clicking load+synth, about what's a folder and what's not? They just appear in the list? When landing on a folder name in clip mode the device could just leave the sound unchanged?

I ask really because load+synth to be able to enter folders when browsing is one more shortcut to memorize. I am fully into the Deluge muscle memory manifesto but with the caveat that it's still worth minimising the n of new memorised shortcuts people have to learn. Often when you come back to the device after some time away it's these niche shortcuts that block simple moves that risk dispiriting you off to another device. "That's weird I can't see my beautifully organised folders in the browser". You might not even remember that there's a memorised shortcut that enters you into a slightly different but almost identical sound browsing mode. You might just assume file system error.
