i checked both xml files. preset makers xml is missing the startLoopPos="" argument for each sample. somehow presetmaker doesnt extract the loop position of the sample files

Thank you for that clarification :)
Just so I can be exactly on the same page and make the right corrections , would you mind providing the following info?
Adding that line may be the answer. But because I don’t normally use samples with loop points myself, I just want a link to a preset you like the functionality of, and a quick few words on how I can observe the functionality.
    😎

__Here is the simplest way we can figure this out. Provide a link to one of your multi-sample instrument presets (and the samples) that has loop points working in the way that you DO like.
Let me know exactly what behavior you like about the preset that i can observe (ie, "Hold down the C note and notice how it it continues a sustain indefinitely")

That would help a ton. I can load your working preset on my Deluge, confirm the behavior, then compare it directly against what Preset Maker generates and see exactly what needs changing on my end.__

EDIT: Oops just realized I already answered this. The comment wont delete for some reason

I have some questions regarding Kit maker

    1. Are NI samples embedded in presets, i.e. not visible from folder level, and extracted by Kit Maker?
    2. Having a folder of samples, you can assign them in a bulk using Deluge functionality. What does KM do beyond that?

This is a great idea but I wonder how about preset copyright.

Kit Maker takes the samples from the NI Maschine Expansion, and turns them into kit presets for the Deluge. They are labeled and organized for you, which would be a ton of work to do on your own.

No issues with copyright. Native Instruments themselves have promoted Kit Maker on their blog :)
