basically the title, idk how feasible this is CPU wise, but even at a lower sample rate (22/11khz ? ) these engines could be really nice for lo-fi sounds. i think pads like the "pwm" and "feedback" could be used for the synth parameters.

I thought it'd be a good idea to have an index that includes all currently known tools for wavetable creation.

I'm currently building https://hyperwave.app a powerful and modular wavetable generator, it's functionally complete, it just needs some more walkthroughs, templates, polish and demo wavetables.

it offers 'offline' spectral processing so you get all the juicy spectral power and capabilities without the temporal smearing you would have to deal with when processing real time audio.

as well as deep wave shaping and distortion models, filter models (WIP), and so much more, bend+/-, custom phase bends with "remap position index" every single parameter modulatable.

Give it a try, there's a walkthrough teaching you the controls, if you're familiar with modular synths, or modular software like substance designer, you will feel right at home, if you're not, then experiment and enjoy, but also keep an eye on future additions to the 'getting started' presets, which will soon fill with more walkthroughs teaching a lot of synthesis concepts, that will inadvertently also teach you how to use any other synth as well. if you know how it works modular, you will know your way around everything else as well.

if you're willing to get your hands dirty you can use this tool to turn images into wavetables, where each pixel on the y axis represents an audio sample and the x-axis represents the wavetable position. from experience I can say it works amazingly with texture creation tools like substance designer that works with the power of 2 resolutions and have a large variety of generative algorithms. or you can use less powerful but free alternatives like TextureLab and Material Maker.

Turning a Photo Into a Serum Wavetable

Thanks, a little late but i'll check it out, sounds awesome. sadly i can't edit the original post anymore, or maybe i am blind, but i don't see any "edit" knob or other menus. If i find it i'll replace wavetabler with yours.
