Automation record button only for one loop of the clip

The problem: I have a drum loop sample in my kit section / or a MIDI clip. I need to automate cutoff or any other parameter from 0% to 100% within just one whole bar (clip). Deluge loops the bar continuously and when i try to reach 100% cutfoff at the end I accidentaly overwrite my automation at the begining of the bar.
The solution: It could be great to somehow launch automation record (button) only for one loop of the whole clip (bar). The record process would automatically stop at the end of the clip. I know there is a possibility to create silent parameter locks, but this solution has too many limitations for me. And I need to automate parameters with high presicion,
Regards!

Yes, I agree! If you are playing a one note hit (entire loop plays on 1:1:1) then silent parameter locks are the only way to go. However i found that if you program the drum or synth sequence out, you can set the parameter for each step, that way the automation for that parameter knob doesnt gradually change back to step one on the loop end.
What happens if you record your automation with the clip set to a length of 2 bars and then shorten it to 1 bar? The idea is that bar 2 is scratch or margin space that you trim away.
