Transpose only one beat / or only the notes I see on the screen
in Open Source
Hi there, I would have a question that I can't find an answer to:
When I'm jamming with my buddies, I sometimes want to create a duplicate of the notes from the the first 4 beats and then transpose just the second 4 beats (then beats 5-8) an octave or a semitone without having to press all the notes and/or transpose them one by one. Is there a quick way to do it? I'm frustrated as I can nowhere find anything about this... I only know how to transpose a whole clip, but that's not what I want. And duplicating the beats and then having to transpose all notes one by one is not doable in a live-/or jam-environment.
Please help me! Thanks a ton!

Copy-paste!
Disclaimer: I don't use the community firmware and the manual obviously does not cover the community additions and changes, but I would expect such basic workflows are still the same in the community edition.
Here's from page 49 of the official manual:
COPYING / PASTING NOTE RANGE
• This will copy the step range of notes in the current view on the grid at the current scroll and zoom position.
• The time range of notes is what is copied including all notes out of view above and below the pad range.
• Copy can be performed from one clip to another in the same or different songs as well as within the same clip.
• When pasting, the notes are pasted into the current view.
• If the destination view is transposed from the original copied location the notes are pasted into the new transposed position.
• If only a part of the grid is selected as the destination, the notes for the available columns are pasted and the rest discarded.
• Notes will be pasted into any new zoom levels where notes will be stretched or reduced to meet the destination zoom view.
