Using MIDI CCs for looping?

I want to use my standard set of MIDI CC numbers to control looping on the Deluge. I tried to use the 'Learn' function under the CMD menu, but it appears that the Deluge will only accept MIDI Notes, not CCs.

Am I doing something wrong, or are the CMD learnable controls only able to to respond to MIDI Notes, not CCs? I very much hope this isn't the case, as all my controllers are set up with exactly the same CC numbers.

    Deluge commands are all midi note only, unfortunately.
