As a sound engineer I want a comprehensive default MIDI implementation so that I don't have to make the deluge learn all the parameters I want to edit.
This should be an opt-in option to stay compatible with possible assignments current users did. Newly sold units could have this turned on by default.
This might be only feasible for sound creation since each track is different. There are other suggestions here which already address this issue.
