Feature Request: MIDI CC TX rate limit

A couple days ago, I discovered that my aptly-named Deluge is willing and able to overflow the MIDI buffers of some of my older, under-powered gear with CC automation. (Ex: SIDStation, SH32, TX81Z) This manifests as clock hiccups, stuck or delayed notes, and sometimes error messages.
Some of this I've been able to work around with an event processor/filter, but that's not always the case.
In a future firmware version, would you consider adding a MIDI event rate limit feature per channel or per MIDI track to help with integrating the Deluge with less well equipped hardware? This way some CC messages could optionally be discarded in order to keep the clock in time and notes playing.
