I think it would be super cool if there was a version of one of the synth engines (like FM) that was streamlined or built to be used in kit mode for making your own digital drum sounds. I would use it way more than samples. I think this is totally possible on the deluge!
I think it would be cool to have different envelope curves that are more suited to percussive type sounds. I am still struggling with the envelopes on the deluge at this point; the 0-50 range seems to make it hard to really do fine adjustments to the ADSR.

Totally re:curves.
For fine adjusts sometimes mapping whatever you want to fine adjust to a gold knob gives you access to 0.5 values. Or adjusting the depth of the modulation to the envelope.
Thanks for the tip @MatthewGeorge about mapping to a gold knob. Ive found that the attack and release are fairly primitive on the deluge. Though isnt attack and release a default mapping on non fm synths?
Yeah true. I'm just very used to the shortcut matrix now so I mainly program that way.
The envelopes could be better but I have no idea how exactly aside from more resolution as I'm still pretty new to synthesis I don't have too many comparisons.

It was implemented in v1.3 and tidy up in v1.3.1
I think there might be a few other posts about it too.
Oh cool, I didn't know this. My Deluge is in the shop so I am just looking around. TY!
