How to play loops from a bult-in keyboard & play pitch without changing tempo

Hi There, new to Deluge (and sampling) so are probably using incorrect search terms.
I have a loop I need to play at different pitches without changing the timing. I can load the loop to a kit track but don't understand how to assign the loop to a bult-in keyboard - or how to set things up so that triggering the loop at different pitches doesn't alter tempo.
Any pointers in the right direction much appreciated.
Cheers, Ben

you will want to load the loop into a synth clip instead of a kit clip so you have the ability to easily control the samples pitch via synth keyboard.
to decouple the sample's length from the sample's pitch, enter the pitch/speed shortcut (shift + PITCH/SPEED) and set it to INDEPENDENT. the length will now always be the length of the original sample.
if you want to adjust the speed of the sample while having it independent from pitch, you can then hit the shortcut below it (SHIFT+SPEED) to slow up or down how long the sample is.
you could achieve what you want in a kit row too, the PITCH/SPEED and SPEED parameters are available there too, but it's hard to control pitch as easily as you would have to automate it with CUSTOM 1 gold knob which is set to MASTER TRANSPOSE for that sample. with community firmware, however, you could use automation view to automate the pitch, but it will be hard to determine the note of the sample since it's in values of -50 to 50.
Ah OK, use a Synth instead - thanks heaps for that.
For my own ref or incase it helps others, to load a sample into a synth…
This will play the samples across pitches but to keep the same tempo for loops….
Not sure why but G#3 was the original pitch. And there are obviously limits to how far you can change the pitch before it degrades (which can also sound cool in a glitch way).
