Play Back From Specific Measure

I've seen that to 'play back from the measure your viewing' -> Press & hold The '<>' Knob & then 'Play'
But I can't find a way of getting this to work - the song still starts from the beginning ?

on 1.2, if cross-screen is on enabled, then the shortcuts are reversed (play starts at current measure, and <>+play starts at beginning). perhaps this is what you're running into.
additionally, there is a unrelated community feature that swaps the two the same way i've described above. if cross play isn't enabled while running into your issue, then i would check the community features menu and see if the alternate start playback behavior is disabled.
