Record MIDI into rows with predefined lengths?

in Deluge Tips, Tricks and Hacks

Hi,
I want to use the Deluge in a live set. I connected a MIDI controller to it and prepared both, but I run into this annoying behavior:

I record synth 1 in row 1 and I am in record mode.
I prepare a part B, so synth 1 in row 2 with the same length.
I arm synth 1 in row 2 in record mode.
I start recording synth 1 in row 2.

Row 2 auto extends until I press record again.

I don't want this auto extend while recording. I just want to record into the prepared row length. How can I change this?
