My main gripe with Deluge is it crashing with audio samples. Generally it doesnt take much for the machine to freeze
How about a resample audio bit rate feature? Make those audio samples a smaller size through a smaller bit rate. It could even add some character to the samples too.

i think finding exact ways to replicate this issue is the best bet to getting better reliability with audio clips. document ur firmware number, and see if it's possible to create a list of steps, or provide a song that crashes after you add more audio clips.
Dunno what issue this is. I have GB's of samples on the card and the deluge isn't crashing at all.
