How to navigate folders

I know this may sound ridiculous, but I have no idea how to navigate among folders. I can turn the select knob to pick kits or samples but I don't know how to get to folders, go up and back, etc.

for synths or kits, hit load+synth or load+kit, in this mode you can view folders, once you see a folder you recognize by name, you would press down on the select encoder, or hit load, or hit enter on the alphanumeric pad to enter the folder.
for projects simply hit load and either scroll or type the beginning letter of the folder, then one of the above three options will let u enter the folder. to exit a folder hit back.

That worked! The key was hitting Back/Undo after doing the Load+Kit which let me go up a level to the other folders.
