Another usage of the multi sample function

Maybe it’s something you already knew, but here goes.

When playing a sample chromatically, it uses a full Synth clip. When doing this with a couple, it gets messy fast in song mode.

But you can use the multi sample function to remedy this. Open a new empty synth. Select “browse “ for a new sample. Now “bot-top” flashes. Press shift +turn select so it inserts a new region in the multi sample synth. Now press select and search for your sample. Long press select when loading the sample and choose “basic”, so the deluge won’t guess the Pitch.

Repeat this for as many regions and samples as you like. Now you can play multiple different samples chromatically in one clip.

One caveat: you might need to adjust the Pitch of each region to accommodate the distance from the root (c3).

This is less messy than using dedicated clips for each sample? Doesn’t it mean you now can’t use separate effects for each sample?
