Bug? Stutter speed resets to 50% when engaged below 50%, but not above 50%

Hi all,
I notice that if the stutter speed is set to below 50%, the stutter speed is reset to 50% as soon as the stutter effect is disengaged. Stutter speed is not reset when it is at 50% or above. To reproduce, do the following:
- Go to a synth track.
- Select STUTTER in the parameter selection.
- Turn the top gold knob counter clockwise so the stutter speed is below 50%
- Press and release the top gold knob to engage and disengage stutter.
As soon as the knob is released the stutter speed is reset to 50%. If you repeat the above steps but instead turn the gold knob clockwise to set the stutter speed above 50%, the stutter speed is not affected by the knob press.
Is this a bug or is this an intentional design decision?
Thanks!

This is indeed intentional. Or least how it has functioned for years now.
It is a handy way to jump back to 50%, which is 16th notes I believe.
Hmm ok — thanks!
Also, why is the stutter clicking so much? A lot of other stutter fx are smooth, this one is nasty and harsh. Can we remedy this in any way?
I haven't noticed clicking in the stutter. Maybe specific to the sounds being used?
