option to have clips start (and finish) on a beat other than "1"

many times, there is a melody/sequence that is intended to start at a point before/after the first beat. the only way to do this currently is to shift+unmute the clip at the right moment. an option to select a custom start/finish point for a clip would be fantastic. who's with me?

Specially useful for vocal tracks where the voice starts singing a little bit before beat 1
exactly. also sometimes i have a kead or pad line with the melody starting before the "1"
