loading a recording from my resample folder into my song weirdness

when I'm loading a particular recording from my resample folder into a new kit in a song that is half finished, weirdness, it sounds really different from its original resampled sound. what is it about this project that is making it alter I wonder. I do not have affect all song triggered. so it should be importing exactly as it sounds in the resample file.
when I open a new project and import this resampled recording, it comes in sounding like it should.
what is it about this half finished song that is making it come in so differently I wonder? any ideas?

The three possible sources of weirdness I can think of are:

1. Song-mode affect entire,
2. Kit-level affect entire, and
3. Kit row parameters on the row you're loading the sound on.
