Arming deluge for record on note entry

It would be nice to able to prime the deluge in recording mode, awaiting a note entry be it local or from midi controller before starting pattern

Yes it would !

Yes. Sampling perfect loops with the Deluge is quite a chore now, with the required trimming once you've sampled a loop. A trig would be enough, doesn't have to be audio threshold, just something that says "Start sampling when the sequencer starts."
If audio threshold requires hardware that's not in the Deluge, the Octatrack or the Electribe Sampler way works just as well. Just let the sampler begin sampling as the sequencer starts - like in resampling - but sample what's coming from the Deluge line input.
Essentially, the sampler is armed but doesn't begin until the sequencer begins. In practice, it's like resampling works now, but just add Audio In as a source as well, that begins sampling as the sequencer begins. This gives you perfect start points for a loop, which is more than enough to get something sampled in a decent beat sync.
This is a key feature for a sampling workflow. +100000000
Yes please, this would be great!
