Potential bug when switching between kit and synth modes

I've made a kit of four 808 samples pitched differently, to make a bassline. If I hit 'synth' while viewing the clip, to convert it to a synth clip, and scale mode is active, then when I switch back to kit, the notes have moved and the bassline sounds different. I'm guessing that it's forcing the notes to be a scale, which when switched back, don't correspond to the samples in the kit. I did this by accident twice the other day and it was annoying as I couldn't undo it and had to manually move the 808s back into place. Anyone else had this issue?
