Expanded Tuplets

It occurred to me that it would be really neat if you could press a combination like "shit+triplets view" to switch between different tuplet subdivisions--quintuplets, septuplets, etc. It's possible to play in weird rhythms with quantization turned off of course, or by shortening/lengthening measures to numbers that aren't factors of 4, but implementing this would make programming weird or polyrhythmic grooves a lot easier.

Displaying the weird time divisions could be a little tricky, but workable. With (for instance) quintuplets, the last column of pads on the main grid could be dimmed, leaving you with 3 beats (in 16th note resolution.) The groups of 5 could be shown in alternating colors for clarity. The 4th beat could be accessed by scrolling to the right, and another dimmed row could be used to indicate the end of the measure. With septuplets, dim two rows and show two beats. Etc.

Thoughts? Hopefully this hasn't been suggested before. I didn't find anything in a search.
