FM inconsistency until osc trigger phase fixed

I was playing around with the FM engine starting from a new synth and was confused by why a short repeating pattern seemed to be hitting different overtones on the same notes from one play to the next.

It didn't take long to find that the carrier oscillator's trigger phase was defaulted to OFF. Turning it on instantly tightened things up.

For the way I think FM is typically used, I would expect this to be what most people want most of the time. (The modulators' trigger phases default to 0.) I'm pretty new to FM, so I'd be interested to know if retriggering on note-on is typical, or if the unpredictability of a continuously running oscillator is common.
